We read Living in the Pink by Sharon Tubbs, which at first glance gives you the impression that the story displayed is a good way of living. However, as we began to read the book, the realistic, true-life stories revealed another angle. Living in the Pink meant living in the middle; we weren't completely following the devil's way (red) or Jesus' way (white), WE were living in the pink. The short stories illustrated realistic stories our group could relate to--relationships with a boyfriend or spouse, cheating, relationships with family members, and more. This Power For Living Group provided a space to establish and maintain friendships with one another and a bond that we took with us after the group was over

I loved the things I learned from the book, the great relationships we developed, the sisterhood built by the transparency of each participant, and the warmth of being in a home!

I truly enjoyed the PFL group! It felt so good to know I had people that were there for me and praying. I was able to let my guard down and truly give and receive. It is imperative as Christians that we have community. Worship on Sunday is not enough. Power for Living gives you the community you need to live. It is necessary!
